Coconut mousse for dogs with banana, mango, blueberry and prebiotics

Such a product zoology has never seen before. Coconut Mousse from Syta Michy is a spreadable treat with banana, mango, blueberries and natural prebiotics.

Advantages of coconut mousse for your dog:

  • a fantastic reward for a dog of vegetable origin,
  • excellent dietary enrichment for dogs of all ages,
  • source of medium-chain MCT fatty acids,
  • thanks to its creamy texture, it is an ideal filling for behavioral toys,
  • incredibly palatable with a pleasant aroma,
  • source of readily available energy and vitamins for dogs of all breeds,
  • recommended for dogs with allergies and food intolerances to animal protein,
  • natural protection of the dog against pathogenic bacteria,
  • the possibility of giving to dogs struggling with various diseases of the digestive system.

To create our mousse , we used fresh coconut fruit, which yielded the two most important components, namely coconut pulp and MCT oil. These components are characterized by their high content of medium-chain fatty acids.

Why are MCT acids important in the diet of dogs?

  • help rebuild the epithelium and intestinal villi - as a result of stress, there can be a reduction in their height and excessive breakdown of red blood cells, which results in accelerated metabolism and impaired absorption of nutrients,
  • facilitate the regeneration of the intestinal epithelium, as they are a fast and easily accessible source of energy,
  • have antibacterial properties,
  • are not stored in the body in the form of spare body fat,
  • no carnitine is needed for their conversion as in the case of the breakdown of long-chain fatty acids (oils of animal origin),
  • have a positive effect on the cognitive functions of senile dogs, while among puppies they facilitate memorization and concentration during training.

Due to their health-promoting properties, both pulp and MCT oil exhibit effects:

  • anti-inflammatory,
  • antioxidant,
  • anticancer,
  • hepatoprotective.

Moreover, they reduce joint inflammation and the risk of developing osteoporotic lesions, have a positive effect on the lipid profile, and act as a barrier to pathogenic microorganisms.

Too much fat in your dog's diet?

No worries, medium-chain fatty acids in the dog's body are broken down by saliva enzymes into glycerol and fatty acids, which is important for dogs struggling with pancreatic diseases or unformed digestive glands.

How does the process of MCT breakdown take place in a dog's body?

It occurs by beta-oxidation in the liver, while the process itself is energy-efficient. The metabolism of this type of fat does not cause the accumulation of adipose tissue as an energy reserve, so for dogs struggling with excessive pounds, coconut mousse will be an interesting dietary variety (bearing in mind, of course, that this is a treat, the amount of which should not exceed up to 10% of the total ration).

Coconut mousse in its composition, in addition to fat, contains amino acids, i.e. glutamic acid, which affects increased memory ability and proper work of the nervous system, or arginine, which reduces oxidative stress in the dog's body.

Due to the addition of fruits, i.e. banana, mango and blueberry, coconut mousse is a good source of magnesium, potassium and dietary fiber in the dog's diet. Moreover, coconut mousse from Sytej Michy provides:

  • Vitamin E for maintaining normal metabolic processes and proper brain function,
  • Vitamin K, the main task of which is the correct process of blood clotting and prevention of the development of osteoporosis,
  • phenolic compounds with anti-inflammatory properties.

Coconut paste for dog, is also a source of dietary fiber. The inulin and apple fiber used in the production are classified as natural prebiotics.

Inulin contributes to the stimulation of lactic acid bacteria in the large intestine, which translates into, among other things:

  • improved digestion,
  • increased production of short-chain fatty acids (including acetic, propionic, butyric, valerian and caproic acid),
  • inhibition of the proliferation of putrefactive bacteria,
  • production of vitamins (especially B vitamins),
  • more effective immune response.

Apple fiber helps to cleanse the body of toxins, helps maintain the normal parameters of cholesterol and glucose in the dog's body, and promotes the maintenance of normal body weight.
